Why support Trek the Thompson?

Water. We all rely on it.

The Big Thompson, like many rivers, is the lifeblood of this community. In Loveland, much of the water we use comes from the Big T River. This water helps to make the food we eat, the beer we drink, and the products we use. But, keeping our water quality and quantity at the levels we need takes investment and care. Trek the Thompson is an event to educate our community on the Big Thompson River system and also to celebrate all that it does for us.

There are two ways to support Trek the Thompson – sponsorships and prize donations.

Sponsorships for the event go directly toward covering event costs and all excess funds go toward river enhancement projects led by Big Thompson Watershed Coalition and our planning committee partners.

Prize donations help make our event even more special! Each year we have a raffle where participants have a chance to win donated prizes with a goal of helping to bring more customers to local businesses.

Your contribution to the event shows our Northern CO communities your support for our water resources, environment, and community engagement.

Sponsor Levels and Benefits

Sponsors will receive advertising on social media, the Trek the Thompson and Big Thompson Watershed Coalition’s web pages, local radio stations, newspapers, and promotional materials, including posters at Fairgrounds Park. Sponsors can also table at the event to raise awareness about their own mission or organization.

Prize Donations

We are requesting donations of gift cards or merchandise for our annual Trek the Thompson raffle. Your donation will be displayed at the event, on prize posters, event handouts, and shared on the website and social media and is a great way to show your support!

To thank you for your contribution we will encourage our members to support your business as you have supported us and highlight you as a socially and environmentally conscious business.

Big Thompson Watershed Coalition is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. Your contribution is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law and you will receive an acknowledgement letter for your donation.
